SLASHPLAY runs Minecraft: Java Edition servers. You pick a version, click Deploy, and about a minute later you have a server address to paste into Minecraft. There’s no router setup, no Java install and no monthly plan: the server costs tokens only while it’s running, and your world is saved every time you stop it.

What’s different about Minecraft
The address has no port. Other games show name.slashplay.gg:30057. Minecraft shows just name.slashplay.gg, because Minecraft finds the port by itself. Like every game, the address changes each time you restore the server, so friends need the new one.
A whitelist instead of a password. Minecraft has no join password. You decide who gets in with the whitelist on the server page: add your friends’ usernames, lock the server, and approve people who knock. See The Minecraft whitelist.
Plugins on Paper. The two Paper versions run Bukkit, Spigot and Paper plugins. You upload the .jar files with the file manager and restart. Vanilla runs no plugins, and Forge or Fabric mods and modpacks are not supported. See Install Paper plugins.

Which size do you need?
SMALL (1 CPU, 2 GB) is fine for a handful of friends on a normal survival world. Go MEDIUM for more players, a bigger explored world or a few plugins, and LARGE for a busy server with a heavy plugin list or big farms.
