SLASHPLAY runs game servers for you. You pick a game, click Deploy, and about a minute later you have a server with its own address that your friends can join. You pay a few cents for every hour it’s live, and nothing while it’s stopped.

This section is for your first hour on SLASHPLAY. You don’t need to know anything about hosting: no ports, no installs, no config files.

Where to start

Read the pages in order if you like to understand things first, or jump straight to the one you need:

  1. What is SLASHPLAY? explains how the whole thing works, what it costs and which games you can run. Five minutes of reading that makes everything else make sense.
  2. Create your account shows how to sign in with Discord or Steam and what you get for free.
  3. Tour the dashboard walks through every tab, so you know where things are.
  4. Your first server gets a server live in six steps, for any game.

Were you sent an invite link by a friend? You don’t need an account at all: see Join a friend’s server.

If you run into a word you don’t know, like restore, burn rate or placement, the glossary explains it in a sentence or two and links to the page that covers it.
