How to get JSON logs from a Palworld server

Set LogFormatType=Json in PalWorldSettings.ini and restart the server to write the server log as JSON. Text, the default, keeps plain text.

Sets the server log format to plain text or JSON.

Choose Json if you feed the logs into a log tool that parses structured data; Text is easier to read by eye.

Good to know

  • Edit PalWorldSettings.ini while the server is stopped; changes apply after a restart.
