How to make a Minecraft server creative

Set gamemode=creative in server.properties and restart the server. New players join in creative; add force-gamemode=true to apply it to everyone.

gamemode

Sets the default game mode for players: survival, creative, adventure or spectator.

Arguments

modeRequired: survival, creative, adventure or spectator.

What it does

New players start in this mode. Existing players keep their own mode unless force-gamemode is on. You can change the default while the server runs with /defaultgamemode.

Good to know

Changes take effect after a server restart.
Use /defaultgamemode to change it live.
