How to run a config file in CS:S
Type exec practice in the console to run every command in cstrike/cfg/practice.cfg. The .cfg ending is optional.
exec
Runs every command in a .cfg file from the cstrike/cfg folder.
exec <filename> Examples
exec server.cfg Reload the server config.
exec practice Run practice.cfg.
Arguments
filenameRequired- Config file name, relative to the cfg folder.

- The server runs
server.cfgon every map load.autoexec.cfgruns when the game starts.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
