How to save your config in CS:S

Type host_writeconfig in your game console to save your settings and binds to config.cfg, or host_writeconfig backup for a copy.

Saves your current settings and binds to config.cfg, or to a file you name.

host_writeconfig [filename]

host_writeconfig backup

Save a backup of your settings.

Arguments

filenameOptional
Config file name.

What it does

Pass a name to make a backup config.

The game's own description: Store current settings to config.cfg (or specified .cfg file).

Use it in your game

Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in cstrike/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
