sv_cheats <0|1> Examples
sv_cheats 1 Enable cheats, then change map for it to apply.
changelevel de_dust2 Reload a map so the new value takes effect.
Values
| Value | What it does |
|---|---|
| 0Default | Cheat commands are blocked |
| 1 | Cheat commands are allowed |
Arguments
0|1Required- 0 blocks cheat commands, 1 allows them.
What it does
Turn it on to test maps, practice spots or record footage with noclip and god. It applies to every player on the server, so never leave it on for a public game. The change is picked up on the next map load, so run changelevel or map after setting it.
Good to know
- Players see a chat notice when it changes.
- Set it back to 0 and change map again before playing for real.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
