1 shows developer messages.

What it does

With developer 1 the engine and game print messages that are normally hidden, such as missing files, entity warnings and config details. On a dedicated server this goes to the server console and logs, which can get noisy on a busy server. Set it back to 0 when you are done.

Good to know

  • On game clients it also lifts the 100 fps cap.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
