How to run a config on map change in CS 1.6
Type mapchangecfgfile mapchange.cfg in the server console and the server runs that file each time the map changes.
mapchangecfgfile
Optional config file the engine runs on every map change. Empty by default.
mapchangecfgfile <filename> Examples
mapchangecfgfile mapchange.cfg Run mapchange.cfg on every map change.
Arguments
filenameRequired- Config file name relative to the cstrike folder.
What it does
If you set a file name here, the engine executes that file each time the map changes, on top of the normal server config. It is a simple way to reapply settings that a plugin or a match config might have changed. Leave it empty if you do not need it.
Good to know
- The file must exist in the cstrike folder.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
