How to change a waypoint color in Minecraft

Type /waypoint modify Steve color red in chat as an operator to show Steve as a red marker on the locator bar. /waypoint list shows them all.

Lists waypoints shown on the locator bar and changes their color or icon style.

/waypoint <list|modify <waypoint> <color|style> ...>

Examples

/waypoint list

Lists the current waypoints.

/waypoint modify Steve color red

Shows Steve's waypoint in red.

/waypoint modify Steve color hex FF8800

Uses a custom orange color.

Arguments

waypointOptional
The entity or player whose waypoint to change.
colorOptional
A color name such as red, hex with a value like FF8800, or reset.
styleOptional
set <style> with a style ID, or reset.

What it does

Players and some entities act as waypoints on the locator bar above the hotbar. list shows them, and modify changes a waypoint's color (a team color name or a hex value) or its icon style; reset restores the default. The locator bar only shows when the locator_bar game rule is on.

  • Needs operator permission level 2.
