Type /team add red, then /team modify red color red and /team join red Steve in chat as an operator to put Steve on a red team.

team

Creates teams and sets their color, friendly fire, name tag visibility and collision for groups of players.

/team <add|remove|empty|join|leave|list|modify> ...

Examples

/team add red

Creates a team called red.

/team modify red color red

Gives the team red names.

/team join red Steve

Adds Steve to the team.

Arguments

teamOptional
Team name.
membersOptional
Players or entities, for join and leave.
optionOptional
Setting to change with modify.

What it does

add creates a team, join and leave manage members, and modify sets options such as color, friendlyFire, nametagVisibility, collisionRule, seeFriendlyInvisibles, prefix and suffix. Team members get the team color in chat and the tab list, and can use teammsg.

Good to know

  • Needs operator permission level 2.
  • /team modify red friendlyFire false stops teammates from hurting each other.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab without the leading slash; in game, operators type it in chat with the slash. New to this? Start a Minecraft server first.
