How to turn off the locator bar in Minecraft

Run /gamerule locator_bar false and the HUD no longer shows markers pointing toward other players.

locator_bar

Controls whether the locator bar shows the direction of other players on the HUD.

/gamerule locator_bar <true|false>

Examples

/gamerule locator_bar false

Hide other players from the HUD.

Arguments

true|falseOptional
true turns the rule on, false turns it off. Leave it out to show the current value.

What it does

The locator bar shows colored markers on the HUD pointing toward other players. Turn it off on hide-and-seek, PvP or survival servers where players should not see where others are.
