How to unlock all recipes in Minecraft

Type /recipe give @a * in chat as an operator to unlock every recipe for all players. /recipe take locks them again.

recipe

Unlocks or locks crafting recipes in a player's recipe book.

/recipe <give|take> <targets> <recipe|*>

Examples

/recipe give @a *

Unlocks every recipe for all players.

/recipe take Steve minecraft:diamond_pickaxe

Removes one recipe from Steve's book.

Arguments

give|takeRequired
Unlock or lock the recipes.
targetsRequired
Player name or selector.
recipeRequired
Recipe ID, or * for every recipe.

What it does

give adds recipes to the recipe book and take removes them; use * for all recipes. This matters most when the limited_crafting game rule is on, because players can then only craft recipes they have unlocked. Recipe IDs come from the game and data packs, for example minecraft:diamond_pickaxe.

Good to know

  • Needs operator permission level 2.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab without the leading slash; in game, operators type it in chat with the slash. New to this? Start a Minecraft server first.
