How to stop elytra rubber banding in Minecraft

Run /gamerule elytra_movement_check false and the server stops pulling players back for flying too fast with an elytra. Speed hacks get easier too.

elytra_movement_check

Controls whether the server checks elytra flight for movement that is too fast.

/gamerule elytra_movement_check <true|false>

Examples

/gamerule elytra_movement_check false

Skip the elytra speed check.

Values

ValueWhat it does
trueDefault On
false Off

Arguments

true|falseOptional
true turns the rule on, false turns it off. Leave it out to show the current value.

What it does

The server compares elytra movement against what it expects and pulls players back if they move too far too quickly. Turning it off can help players on laggy connections or with fast fireworks flight, at the cost of making speed hacks easier.

Good to know

  • Replaces the inverted disableElytraMovementCheck rule: false here equals the old rule set to true.

Run it on your server
