How to disable command blocks in Minecraft

Run /gamerule command_blocks_work false and command blocks stop running their commands. Set it to true to turn them back on.

command_blocks_work

Controls whether command blocks run their commands.

/gamerule command_blocks_work <true|false>

Disable all command blocks.

Arguments

true|falseOptional: true turns the rule on, false turns it off. Leave it out to show the current value.

What it does

Set it to false to disable every command block in the world without breaking them. On survival servers this stops command blocks from doing anything if someone obtains one.

Good to know

Replaces the old enable-command-block line in server.properties.
