How to hide command block messages in Minecraft

Run /gamerule command_block_output false and command blocks stop announcing the commands they run in chat to operators.

command_block_output

Controls whether command blocks announce the commands they run in chat to operators.

/gamerule command_block_output <true|false>

Examples

/gamerule command_block_output false

Stop command block spam in chat.

Values

ValueWhat it does
trueDefault On
false Off

Arguments

true|falseOptional
true turns the rule on, false turns it off. Leave it out to show the current value.

What it does

With true, every command block that runs a command posts a gray message to ops in chat and logs it, which can flood chat on maps with clock circuits. Turn it off on servers with many repeating command blocks.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab without the leading slash; in game, operators type it in chat with the slash. New to this? Start a Minecraft server first.
