How to change mic threshold in CS2

Type voice_threshold 5000 in your game console so background noise no longer keeps open mic on; lower it if quiet speech gets cut off.

voice_threshold

Sets how loud your microphone input must be before the game treats it as speech.

voice_threshold <level>

Examples

voice_threshold 5000

Ignore more background noise.

Arguments

levelRequired
Input loudness threshold.

What it does

Used with open mic to decide when you are talking. Raise it if background noise keeps your mic open, lower it if quiet speech gets cut off.

The game's own description: decibel threshold for how loud the talker's input signal is before we think they are talking.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
