How to shorten the time between rounds in CS2

Type mp_round_restart_delay 3 in the server console so the next round starts 3 seconds after the last one ends. The default is 10.

mp_round_restart_delay

Sets the delay in seconds between the end of a round and the start of the next.

mp_round_restart_delay <seconds>

Examples

mp_round_restart_delay 3

Quicker transition between rounds.

Arguments

secondsRequired
Seconds after a round ends before the next starts.

What it does

This is the pause after a round is won where players see the result and can pick up weapons. Lower it to speed up practice or retake servers.

The game's own description: Number of seconds to delay before restarting a round after a win

Good to know

  • Competitive mode sets it to 7.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
