How to set up round backups in CS2

Type mp_backup_round_file "match1" in the server console so a backup is saved with that prefix after every round, ready to restore after a crash.

mp_backup_round_file

Sets the file name prefix for round backups that let you restore a match after a crash.

mp_backup_round_file <prefix>

Examples

mp_backup_round_file "match1"

Write backups named after this match.

Arguments

prefixRequired
Name prefix for the backup files. Empty disables writing them.

What it does

When set, the server writes a backup file after every round with scores, money and stats. You can restore one with mp_backup_restore_load_file if a match is interrupted.

The game's own description: If set then server will save all played rounds information to files filename_date_time_team1_team2_mapname_roundnum_score1_score2.txt

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
