How to change the menu FPS limit in CS2

Type fps_max_ui 144 in your game console to cap your frame rate in menus at 144; 0 removes the limit.

fps_max_ui

Caps your frame rate while menus and the game UI are open; 0 removes the limit.

fps_max_ui <fps>

Examples

fps_max_ui 144

Match a 144 Hz monitor in menus.

Arguments

fpsRequired
Frame limit for the UI, 0 for none.

What it does

Limits FPS in the main menu and other full-screen UI so the game does not waste power there. Raise it if menus feel sluggish on a high refresh monitor.

The game's own description: Frame rate limiter while the game UI is displayed. 0=no limit. Does not apply to dedicated server.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
