mp_restartgame <seconds>

Examples

mp_restartgame 1

Restart the game in one second.

mp_restartgame 3

Restart with a three second warning.

Arguments

secondsRequired
Delay in seconds before the restart.

What it does

Commonly used to start a match once everyone is ready, often typed three times in a row for a "live on three restarts" ritual. Scores, kills, deaths and money all go back to their starting values. It counts as a restart, not a map change, so plugins and settings stay loaded.

The game's own description: If non-zero, game will restart in the specified number of seconds

Good to know

  • Players keep their teams after the restart.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
