How to change freeze time in CS:S
Type mp_freezetime 3 in the server console to freeze players for 3 seconds at the start of each round. 0 turns it off.
mp_freezetime
Sets how many seconds players stay frozen at the start of each round, time they can use to buy.
mp_freezetime <seconds> Examples
mp_freezetime 3 Short freeze for public servers.
mp_freezetime 15 Longer freeze for organized matches.
Arguments
secondsRequired- Freeze time in seconds.
0disables the freeze period.
What it does
Players cannot move or shoot during the freeze period but can open the buy menu. Public servers often use 3 to 6 seconds, while match configs use longer freeze times so teams can talk strategy. Set it to 0 for instant action on deathmatch or practice servers.
The game's own description: how many seconds to keep players frozen when the round starts
Good to know
- Takes effect from the next round.
- Add it to
cstrike/cfg/server.cfgto keep it after a restart.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
