How to turn lag compensation on or off in CS 1.6
Type sv_unlag 1 in the server console to keep lag compensation on for hits. sv_unlag 0 turns it off, so players must lead shots.

Turns lag compensation on or off for hit detection.
sv_unlag <0|1> Examples
sv_unlag 1 Default, normal hit registration.
Values
| Value | What it does |
|---|---|
| 0 | No lag compensation |
| 1Default | Lag compensation on |
Arguments
0|1Required- 0 off, 1 on.
What it does
With lag compensation, the server checks hits against where targets were on the shooter's screen, so players with normal ping can aim straight at enemies. Turning it off forces everyone to lead their shots by their ping. Players can also opt out on their side with cl_lc 0. Keep it on.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
