How to keep all logs in one file in CS 1.6
Type sv_log_onefile 1 in the server console and the server keeps writing to one log file instead of a new one each map.
sv_log_onefile
Writes all server logs into one file instead of starting a new file each map.
sv_log_onefile <0|1> Examples
sv_log_onefile 1 Keep all logs in one file.
Values
| Value | What it does |
|---|---|
| 0Default | New log file per map |
| 1 | Everything in one log file |
Arguments
0|1Required- 0 for one file per map, 1 for a single file.
What it does
By default the server opens a fresh log file in the logs folder every map change. Set it to 1 to keep appending to a single file, which some log parsers prefer. Logging itself must be on with log on.
Good to know
- A single file grows without limit, so rotate it yourself.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
