How to set air accelerate for surf in CS 1.6
Type sv_airaccelerate 100 in the server console for surf and bhop style air strafing. The default 10 is normal play.
sv_airaccelerate
Sets how much control players have over their movement while in the air.
sv_airaccelerate <value> Examples
sv_airaccelerate 10 Standard Counter-Strike air control.
sv_airaccelerate 100 Typical value for surf and bunny hop maps.
Arguments
valueRequired- Air acceleration factor. 10 is standard.
What it does
This controls air strafing: how much a player can steer and gain speed mid-jump by turning the mouse while holding a strafe key. The default of 10 is what normal and competitive servers use. Surf and bunny hop servers raise it a lot, often to 100 or more, so players can build speed in the air.
Good to know
- Changes are announced to players in chat because the cvar has the server-notify flag.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
