How to change gravity in CS 1.6
Type sv_gravity 400 in the server console for low gravity and long jumps. The default is 800.
sv_gravity
Sets world gravity. Lower values let players jump higher and fall slower.
sv_gravity <value> Examples
sv_gravity 800 Normal gravity.
sv_gravity 400 Low gravity fun round.
Arguments
valueRequired- Gravity in units per second squared. 800 is standard.
What it does
The default is 800. Values around 400 give long, floaty jumps for fun rounds, while higher values make jumps short. It affects players and thrown grenades alike. Some maps set their own gravity, and a plugin or map change can reset it.
Good to know
- Changes are announced to players in chat because the cvar has the server-notify flag.
- Fall damage still applies, but low gravity means slower landings.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
