Arguments
filenameRequired- MOTD file relative to the cstrike folder.
What it does
Players see the contents of this file in the welcome window when they connect. It can be plain text or HTML. Only about the first 1.5 KB is sent, so keep it short or link to a page instead of pasting long rules.
Good to know
- Players can open it again with the
motdcommand.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
