How to send logs to a stats tool in CS 1.6

Type log on; logaddress_add 203.0.113.10 27500 in the server console and every log line is sent live to that IP and port.

logaddress_add

Adds an address that receives a live copy of the server log over UDP.

logaddress_add <ip> <port>

Examples

logaddress_add 203.0.113.10 27500

Stream logs to a stats tool.

log on; logaddress_add 203.0.113.10 27500

Turn logging on and add a receiver.

Arguments

ipRequired
IP address of the receiver.
portRequired
UDP port the receiver listens on.

What it does

Sends every log line to the given IP and port as it happens, which is how external stats sites, bots and match tools follow the game. You can add several receivers. Logging must be on with log on, or nothing is sent.

Good to know

  • Receivers are not saved; put the command in server.cfg to keep it.
  • sv_logsecret adds a secret to each packet so the receiver can check it came from your server.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
