How to print text to the console in CS 1.6
Type echo "Match config loaded" in the server console, or put it in a config, to print that line. Players do not see it; use say for them.
echo
Prints the text you give it to the console.
echo <text> Examples
echo "Match config loaded" Confirm in the console that a config ran.
Arguments
textRequired- The text to print.
What it does
Writes a line of text to the server console. It is mostly used in config files to show which config ran or which mode was loaded. Players do not see it; use say to message them.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
