cmd

Client command that forwards the rest of the line to the server it is connected to.

cmd <command> [args]

Examples

cmd status

On a client, ask the connected server to run status.

Arguments

commandRequired
The command to send to the server.
argsOptional
Arguments for that command.

What it does

Sends the text after it to the server as a client command. It is used by game clients, not by the server itself, so it does nothing useful when typed in the server console.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
