clockwindow
How far a player's command clock may drift from the server clock before it is corrected. Part of speed hack protection.
clockwindow <seconds> Examples
clockwindow 0.5 The default tolerance.
Arguments
secondsRequired- Allowed clock drift in seconds.
What it does
The server compares the time a player's movement commands claim to cover with real server time. If a client runs ahead by more than this many seconds, the server pulls it back, which limits what speed hacks can do. Leave it at the default unless you know you need to change it.
Good to know
- Raising it makes speed hacks easier; lowering it can hurt players on unstable connections.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
