How to set a password on a Valheim server

Add -password "Secret123" to the server's launch options, and players must enter it to join.

-password

Sets the password players must enter to join the server.

passwordRequired: The join password.

What it does

Players are asked for this password when they connect.

Good to know

Add it to the server start line in start_server.sh (Linux) or start_headless_server.bat (Windows); it applies on the next server start.
The server refuses to start if the password is shorter than 5 characters or appears in the server name.
