How to keep more backups on a Valheim server

Add -backups 6 to the server's launch options, and the server keeps 6 automatic world backups instead of the default 4.

Sets how many automatic world backups the server keeps. The default is 4.

Arguments

countRequired: Number of backups to keep.

What it does

The first backup follows the short interval (-backupshort) and the rest follow the long interval (-backuplong). With the defaults that is one backup about 2 hours old and three backups 12 hours apart.

Good to know

Add it to the server start line in start_server.sh (Linux) or start_headless_server.bat (Windows); it applies on the next server start.
