How to set the Rust+ public IP on a Rust server
Add +app.publicip 203.0.113.10 to the launch options so the Rust+ app reaches the server on that public address, useful behind NAT.
app.publicip
Sets the public IP address the Rust+ companion app should use to reach the server.
+app.publicip <address> Examples
+app.publicip 203.0.113.10 Advertise this IP to Rust+.
Arguments
addressRequired- Public IPv4 address.
What it does
Leave it empty to detect it automatically. Set it explicitly when the server sits behind NAT or has several addresses and Rust+ pairing fails.
The game's own description: Public IP address advertised to the Steam server browser; leave empty to auto-detect; set explicitly if behind NAT
Run it on your server
Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
