How to set the public port of a Palworld server

Set PublicPort=8211 in PalWorldSettings.ini and restart the server. It is the port shown in the community list and does not change the port the server listens on.

PublicPort

Sets the external public port the server advertises in the community list. It does not change the listening port.

PublicPort=<port>

Examples

PublicPort=8211

Default game port.

Arguments

portRequired
The public UDP port players connect to.

What it does

Use this when players reach the server through a different external port than it listens on, for example with port forwarding. It only changes what is advertised; the actual game port is set with the -port launch argument.

The game's own description: (Community server) Explicitly specify the external public port. (Does not change the server’s listening port.)

Good to know

  • Edit PalWorldSettings.ini while the server is stopped; changes apply after a restart.

Run it on your server

Admin commands are typed in game chat after /AdminPassword, or from the console on the server page. Settings go in world settings and apply at the next start. New to this? Start a Palworld server first.
