How to limit dropped items in Palworld

Set DropItemMaxNum=1500 in PalWorldSettings.ini and restart the server to cap the dropped items lying in the world at 1500. The default is 3000.

DropItemMaxNum

Sets the maximum number of dropped items that can lie in the world at once.

DropItemMaxNum=<count>

Examples

DropItemMaxNum=3000

Default cap.

DropItemMaxNum=1500

Lighter on performance.

Arguments

countRequired
Maximum dropped items.

What it does

Caps items on the ground to protect server performance. Lower it on busy servers with lots of loot on the floor.

Good to know

  • Edit PalWorldSettings.ini while the server is stopped; changes apply after a restart.
