How to change how long dropped items last in Palworld

Set DropItemAliveMaxHours=0.500000 in PalWorldSettings.ini and restart the server, and dropped items vanish after half an hour instead of 1 hour.

DropItemAliveMaxHours

Sets how many hours dropped items stay on the ground before they disappear.

DropItemAliveMaxHours=<hours>

DropItemAliveMaxHours=0.500000

Items vanish after 30 minutes.

Lower values clean up dropped items faster, which helps performance.

Good to know

  • Edit PalWorldSettings.ini while the server is stopped; changes apply after a restart.
