How to disable a data pack on new Minecraft worlds

Set initial-disabled-packs=file/mypack.zip in server.properties before the world is first created, and that data pack starts turned off.

Sets which datapacks are turned off when the world is first created.

Arguments

packsRequired
The value to write after the equals sign.

What it does

A comma-separated list of datapack names to disable at world creation. It has no effect on an existing world; use /datapack disable there.

Good to know

  • Only read when the world is first created.
