How to shut down a CS2 server after the match

Type sv_shutdown in the server console and the server exits once the current games are over, so players can finish.

sv_shutdown

Shuts the server down once all current games have finished.

sv_shutdown

Examples

sv_shutdown

Shut down when the game ends.

What it does

The server keeps running until the current games are over, then exits. It is a graceful way to restart for updates, since players can finish their match first.

The game's own description: Sets the server to shutdown when all games have completed

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
