How to watch a demo in CS2

Type playdemo mydemo in your game console to play mydemo.dem from the game/csgo folder. Downloaded matches are in the replays folder.

Plays back a recorded demo file (.dem) from the game folder.

Play game/csgo/mydemo.dem.

Play a downloaded match from the replays folder.

Arguments

fileRequired: Demo path without the .dem extension, relative to game/csgo.

What it does

Loads a demo for viewing. Give the path relative to game/csgo; demos downloaded from the Watch tab are in the replays folder there. Open the playback controls with demoui.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
