How to change the connection timeout in CS2

Type cl_timeout 60 in your game console so your game waits 60 seconds without data from the server before it disconnects.

cl_timeout

Sets how many seconds without data from the server pass before your game disconnects itself.

cl_timeout <seconds>

Examples

cl_timeout 60

Wait longer before giving up.

Arguments

secondsRequired
Time without data before disconnecting.

What it does

If the server stops sending packets for this long, your client gives up and disconnects. Raising it gives a short connection drop more time to recover.

The game's own description: After this many seconds without receiving a packet from the server, the client will disconnect itself

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
