How to set max command rate on a CS:S server

Type sv_maxcmdrate 100 in the server console to cap client cl_cmdrate at 100. Set it to your tickrate.

sv_maxcmdrate

Sets the highest cl_cmdrate clients may use.

sv_maxcmdrate <packets>

Examples

sv_maxcmdrate 100

For a 100 tick server.

Arguments

packetsRequired
Packets per second.

What it does

Only enforced when sv_mincmdrate is above 0. Usually set to the tickrate.

The game's own description: (If sv_mincmdrate is > 0), this sets the maximum value for cl_cmdrate.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
