How to set the interp ratio in CS:S

Type cl_interp_ratio 1 in your game console for the lowest delay on a stable connection; use 2 if you get packet loss.

cl_interp_ratio

Sets interpolation as a multiple of the update interval, the usual way to tune interp.

cl_interp_ratio <ratio>

Examples

cl_interp_ratio 1

Lowest delay on a stable connection.

cl_interp_ratio 2

Safer on lossy connections.

Arguments

ratioRequired
Interpolation ratio.

What it does

1 gives the lowest delay and works on stable connections. 2 adds a buffer against packet loss. The server can limit it with sv_client_min_interp_ratio and sv_client_max_interp_ratio.

The game's own description: Sets the interpolation amount (final amount is cl_interp_ratio / cl_updaterate).

Use it in your game

Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in cstrike/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
