How to lower interp in CS:S
Type cl_interp 0 in your game console so the game sets interp from cl_interp_ratio and cl_updaterate, the lowest safe delay.
cl_interp
Sets the interpolation delay in seconds used to smooth other players' movement.
cl_interp <seconds> Examples
cl_interp 0 Let cl_interp_ratio decide.
Arguments
secondsRequired- Interpolation time in seconds.
What it does
The game uses whichever is larger: this value or cl_interp_ratio divided by cl_updaterate. Most players set it to 0 and let the ratio decide.
The game's own description: Sets the interpolation amount (bounded on low side by server interp ratio settings).
Use it in your game
Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in cstrike/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
