What it does

Competitive matches turn it on so grenades and stray bullets matter. Most public servers leave it off to avoid griefing. Killing teammates with it on can trigger mp_tkpunish and mp_autokick.

The game's own description: Allows team members to injure other members of their team

Good to know

  • Teammate kills are counted and can get a player kicked when mp_autokick is on.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
