How to use a custom MOTD file in CS:S
Type motdfile motd_custom.txt in the server console to show that file to joining players. It can hold text, HTML or a URL.

What it does
The MOTD is shown to players when they join. The default file is motd.txt in cstrike, and it can hold plain text, HTML or a URL.

Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
