How to bind shooting to a key in CS:S
Type bind mouse1 +attack in your game console and holding mouse1 fires your weapon. Swap mouse1 for any key you like.

What it does
The + command runs while the key is held and its - version runs when you let go. It is bound to mouse1 by default.
Use it in your game
Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in cstrike/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
