writecfg

Writes the current saved settings to a config file.

writecfg <file>

Examples

writecfg backup

Write archived settings to backup.cfg.

Arguments

fileRequired
Name of the file to write.

What it does

Saves cvars that are flagged to be archived, along with key bindings on a client, to the file you name. On a server it is rarely needed, since server.cfg is normally edited by hand.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
