How to kick a player in CS 1.6
Type kick #12 in the server console to remove the player with userid 12, taken from status. They can rejoin; use banid to keep them out.
kick
Removes a player from the server by userid or name. They can rejoin right away.
kick <#userid|name> [reason] Examples
kick #12 Kick the player with userid 12.
kick "Player Name" Kick by exact name; use quotes when it has spaces.
kick #12 "Camping in spawn" Kick with a reason.
Arguments
#userid|nameRequired- The player's userid from
statuswith a # in front, or their exact name in quotes. reasonOptional- Message shown to the kicked player.
What it does
Disconnects a player. Using the userid from status with a # in front is the safest way, because names can contain spaces or symbols. Anything after the player is shown to them as the reason. A kick is not a ban; use banid or addip to keep them out.
Good to know
- A userid is not the same as the slot number; read it from the # column of
status.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
