Arguments

0|1Required
1 for normal multiplayer rules.

What it does

Counter-Strike picks its game rules from this value when a map loads. With 1 you get the normal multiplayer rules; with 0 the game loads the training rules used by the offline tutorial map, which breaks a normal server. If it was changed by accident, set it back to 1 and change the map.

Good to know

  • Only read when a map loads.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
